John Muir Trail 2019 - let's do this!!!

Here we go! I've applied for a permit to hike the John Muir Trail heading south from Yosemite Valley to Mount Whitney! This doesn't mean that I will for sure get a permit, not at all. Permits for this trail are so popular they have a lottery system in place. I've entered a 21 day span and each day I will receive an email saying I have been approved or denied. So far I've received 2 denial emails. However, I'm still remaining positive! I have 19 more days and if I don't get selected in the lottery I have a back up plan. Either way, I'm planning on spending some time in the backcountry of the Sierras this August. I can not wait.
